Crop Claims Specialist, Claims Adjuster

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Use your judgment to assess liability by collecting and analyzing pertinent facts and implementing established procedures.

• Verify policy details and coverage by examining relevant claim coverage.

• Engage in reviews and referrals initiated by the Risk Management Agency to ensure operational integrity and quality assurance.

• Safeguard claims information to uphold Zurich’s reputation.

• Enhance professional and technical expertise through educational pursuits, staying updated on industry trends, and participating in professional networks and societies.

• Travel within and outside your assigned territory to support workloads, join CAT teams, and provide remote assistance for claims center inquiries.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or its equivalent.

• At least 6 months of experience in the agricultural sector or within the agricultural or crop insurance industry.

• Crop Adjuster Proficiency Program (CAPP) Certification must be completed within 180 days of employment.

• Access to reliable personal transportation.

• Willingness to travel within the designated territory; Crop Claims Specialist may also need to travel beyond the assigned area.

• Must reside within 50 miles of locations in San Joaquin County, California.

• Capability to walk in agricultural fields for distances up to 3 miles.

• Ability to climb agricultural storage bins that are up to 25 feet high.

• Capacity to lift weights ranging from 25 lbs to 50 lbs.

• Ability to work outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions.

• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Strong organizational, multitasking, and prioritization abilities.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
