This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Address NRS crisis contacts through various hotline channels.
• Stay engaged during shifts, managing multiple chats simultaneously.
• Conduct trauma-informed data collection.
• Ensure that youth comprehend and receive the resources provided.
• Perform warm handoffs with resource providers.
• Offer safe and supportive referrals.
• Keep thorough documentation of all crisis communications.
• Report instances of child abuse and neglect as mandated by law.
• Take part in supervisions and various training-related activities.
• Engage in ongoing training and efforts for quality improvement.
• Knowledge and experience in a social services setting, ideally with crisis intervention.
• A self-starter with strong attention to detail.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with diverse teams.
• Creative problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage projects effectively.
• Demonstrated organizational and multitasking skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Familiarity with data entry procedures.
• Dedication to the mission and operational goals of NRS.
• Bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not mandatory.
• Training in trauma-informed, solution-focused crisis intervention.
• Involvement in all-staff and team meetings.
• Continuous training and educational opportunities.
