This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Direct Call Management: When managers are present during shifts and can effectively oversee operations independently, the Crisis Clinician Lead will manage incoming calls while engaging in screening and assessment of callers.
• Follow established guidelines for providing telephonic intervention and de-escalation while determining the necessary immediate actions during call interactions.
• Demonstrate active listening, engaging with callers to build rapport.
• Supportive Role: In the absence of management, the Crisis Clinician Lead will assume responsibility for their shift.
• Monitor call volumes, track staff availability, and oversee call statuses.
• Participate in interdepartmental and intradepartmental team projects and initiatives.
• Address more complex cases and fulfill account-specific requests.
• Conduct assessments to identify individual needs and formulate care plans to achieve objectives and goals.
• Collaborate with internal and external resources to address the identified needs of members and work alongside providers.
• A Master's degree (MA/MS) in social work, counseling, or a related behavioral health field, or a degree in nursing is required.
• A minimum of 4 years of clinical experience in social work counseling, with extensive experience in managing complex psychiatric cases and substance abuse disorder treatment.
• Possession of a current active unrestricted license, such as RN, LCSW, LMHC, LICSW, LPC, or Clinical Psychologist, to practice as a health professional within the scope of licensure.
• Significant experience in case management and telephonic and/or in-person coaching with members.
• Experience in managed care is required.
• A Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor certification is highly preferred.
• Call center experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience related to crisis situations is strongly preferred.
