Crew Leader

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead and manage teams engaged in track construction and rail yard operations.

• Organize and oversee the procurement of materials, equipment, and personnel for projects.

• Ensure that all tasks are executed safely and adhere to FRA regulations and company protocols.

• Supervise daily operations of crew members to guarantee efficiency, quality, and safety.

• Provide training and onboarding for new staff members.

• Track project status and modify plans as necessary to adhere to deadlines.

• Assist in cost management and the effective use of resources.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or GED is required.

• 5–7 years of experience in railroad track construction is necessary.

• A minimum of 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience is preferred.

• Extensive knowledge of track construction, maintenance, and defect identification is essential.

• Capability to operate heavy machinery (such as backhoes and front-end loaders) and train others to do the same.

• Excellent communication abilities are required.

• Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple responsibilities.

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting instructions, procedures, and safety standards.

• Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) are necessary.

• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

• Ability to lift and transport equipment weighing up to approximately 75 lbs.

• Must be able to pass a drug screening and background investigation.

• FRA certification is mandatory when applicable.
