This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create and uphold credit risk monitoring frameworks that evaluate portfolio performance against business plans, policy limits, and stress scenarios.
• Define key risk indicators, thresholds, and early warning signals that pinpoint emerging credit risks within evolving underwriting models and fluctuating economic conditions.
• Offer constructive challenges to first line of defense (1LOD) model development, treasury, credit strategy, and product leaders by leveraging portfolio insights to determine if performance aligns with risk appetite, policy expectations, and business plans.
• Collaborate with Machine Learning, Product, Risk, and Bank leadership teams to assess portfolio performance and suggest actions when risk metrics diverge from expectations.
• Work alongside peers in Model Risk Management and Fair Lending within second line teams.
• Prepare and deliver portfolio risk analyses, monitoring outcomes, and recommendations to senior leadership, governance committees, and other stakeholders.
• Design and execute governance processes, reporting routines, and operational mechanisms that comply with regulatory expectations and enable effective risk oversight.
• Provide independent scrutiny and oversight of credit policies, underwriting performance, and risk management practices while balancing innovation with prudent risk management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Business, or a related quantitative field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Over 7 years of experience in consumer credit risk management, portfolio analytics, or credit risk oversight.
• Proven experience in analyzing credit performance throughout the consumer lending lifecycle, encompassing acquisition, underwriting, portfolio management, and repayment outcomes.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, R, or similar analytical platforms to assess portfolio performance and risk trends.
• Experience in conveying quantitative analyses and risk assessments to senior business leaders through written reports and presentations.
