This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Assess residential and commercial mortgage applications by evaluating the creditworthiness and financial situation of borrowers.

• Review financial statements, credit reports, supporting documents, and other pertinent information to evaluate lending risk.

• Make well-informed and prompt credit decisions based on detailed analysis and established lending criteria.

• Prepare detailed credit evaluations and deliver lending recommendations for approval or rejection.

• Implement robust risk management strategies to reduce potential credit exposure.

• Take complete responsibility for loan applications from submission through to final approval.

• Handle a high-volume pipeline while ensuring that service level agreements (SLAs) and turnaround times are consistently met.

• Track application progress and proactively follow up to ensure smooth movement through the lending process.

• Maintain consistent communication with introducing brokers to ensure the prompt receipt of all necessary documentation and information.

• Communicate daily with brokers, loan officers, clients, and internal stakeholders via phone and email to provide updates, clarify application requirements, and facilitate lending decisions.

• Develop strong working relationships with brokers and internal stakeholders to enhance the lending experience.

• Offer guidance and support to team members on credit-related issues as needed.

• Ensure that all loan documentation is complete, accurate, and complies with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and Australian lending standards.

• Prepare and maintain precise, thorough credit assessments for each application.

• Stay informed about changes to regulatory requirements within the Australian non-bank lending sector.

• Communicate professionally with both internal and external stakeholders while upholding the integrity of credit processes and ensuring a positive customer experience.

• Perform other duties that align with skills, qualifications, and experience as necessary.


⛳️ Requirements

• At least 2 years of regulated mortgage underwriting experience in Australian residential and commercial mortgages.

• Strong knowledge of financial analysis, credit risk assessment, lending principles, and Australian mortgage underwriting procedures.

• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to exercise sound judgement when evaluating credit risk.

• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of compliance and documentation.

• Proven ability to independently manage multiple loan applications while consistently meeting service level agreements and turnaround times.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with brokers, clients, loan officers, and internal stakeholders.

• Ability to forge strong professional relationships while clearly and diplomatically communicating lending decisions.

• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines.

• Self-driven, self-sufficient, and capable of working autonomously in a dynamic environment.

• Proactive, solutions-oriented, and dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service.

• High level of professionalism, ownership, integrity, and accountability.

• Experience in supporting or mentoring junior team members on credit-related issues.

• Demonstrated adaptability and the ability to quickly learn new lending processes, systems, and regulatory updates.

• Positive "can-do" attitude with a readiness to assist with additional business needs when required.
