Credit & Collections Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Engage with overdue accounts through phone, email, and SMS in a relational, unscripted manner.

• Address payment concerns, disputes, returns, credits, and customer service inquiries.

• Evaluate new account applications, credit limits, and associated credit risks.

• Collaborate with sales, customer service, operations, and accounts to swiftly resolve issues.

• Efficiently manage the shared inbox and handle email communications in a professional manner.

• Keep precise records of collection activities, payment agreements, and customer interactions.

• Generate statements, invoice copies, reminders, and escalation notifications.

• Track overdue accounts, defaults, and customers at risk of administration or liquidation.

• Assist with account maintenance, data entry, and ABN/entity record verifications.

⛳️ Requirements

• High emotional intelligence and strong empathy.

• Extensive customer service background.

• Experience in the Australian business environment, preferably with trade clients.

• Background in credit or collections.

• Confidence in evaluating credit applications and assessing customer risk.

• Knowledge of ABNs, various Australian entity types, credit reporting, defaults, and liquidation procedures.

• Proficient in spoken and written English.

• Excellent negotiation skills — able to be firm, respectful, and composed under pressure.

• Strong attention to detail, effective time management, and ability to follow through.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Teams, Excel, and Outlook.

• **Robust AI capability is essential** — you should be adept at utilizing AI tools to enhance productivity, communication, reporting, analysis, and daily workflow.

• Experience with ERP/accounting systems such as Connected Business, Xero, or similar is preferred.
