This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• The Collections Clerk will play a crucial role in supporting the collections team with various assigned tasks.
• Responsible for managing accounts that require special attention to ensure customer satisfaction, which may involve account research and addressing customer requests.
• Conduct telephone collections on overdue accounts receivable.
• Implement and oversee payment plans.
• Handle call management and chargebacks.
• Ensure quality assurance monitoring is conducted.
• Assist with special requests from both internal and external customers.
• Document activities and maintain follow-up on all accounts.
• Respond to customer accounts receivable inquiries via phone.
• Provide requested documentation to customers, such as invoices and statements.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in an office setting handling data entry or similar computer-based tasks is required; prior experience in accounts payable/receivable or general bookkeeping is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with billing procedures and collections techniques.
• Must possess knowledge of collections and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) is essential.
• A working understanding of FDCPA and GLB Privacy Act is required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary.
• Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy is essential.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism is a must.
• Exceptional organizational skills are required.
• Must be able to work both as part of a team and independently.
• Comfortable working towards set goals and KPIs.
• Ability to deliver results in a dynamic and challenging environment.
