Credentialing Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete credentialing process for providers from initial intake to final approval.

• Create and sustain provider profiles within Modio.

• Monitor credentialing workflows and progress utilizing JIRA.

• Execute primary source verification, which includes licenses, education, board certifications, DEA, and other essential credentials.

• Perform sanction screenings (OIG, SAM, NPDB) and carry out compliance reviews.

• Collaborate across departments to transition providers from Credentialing Approved to Clear to Practice (CTP).

• Liaise with providers to ensure the prompt completion of credentialing applications and necessary documentation.

• Keep credentialing records accurate and support compliance obligations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in provider credentialing; experience in telehealth or multi-state credentialing is preferred.

• Solid understanding of primary source verification (PSV) and healthcare compliance requirements.

• Familiarity with credentialing platforms; experience with Modio is preferred.

• Exceptional attention to detail and the capability to manage multiple providers and deadlines.

• Strong organizational, communication, and follow-up skills.

• Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
