Credentialed Veterinary Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +11 more states.

📋 Description

• Deliver medically appropriate tele-triage, patient evaluation, and case management.

• Convey diagnostic findings, treatment strategies, and educational material to clients.

• Assist DVMs in care delivery, medical advice parameters, and follow-up procedures.

• Review and authorize medication requests in accordance with standing orders.

• Provide support to clinics and Virtual Care Coordinators regarding medical inquiries and administrative tasks.

• Manage escalations from Yellow AI IVR, chatbot, and text workflows when human medical review is necessary.

• Evaluate patient symptoms through phone, email, or text to assess urgency.

• Decide if a clinic visit, referral, or home monitoring is the best course of action.

• Offer legally compliant medical advice exclusively to Bond Vet clients.

• Escalate issues to DVM when necessary.

• Review and communicate results of bloodwork, fecal samples, cytology, radiology interpretations, and other diagnostic tests.

• Utilize standing orders for prevalent conditions (e.g., positive fecals).

• Create clear and empathetic written summaries using macros and templates.

• Handle a high volume of emails, calls, and messages through various platforms.

• Assist with rescheduling appointments when clinics experience a lack of DVM coverage.

• Identify urgent cases that require clinic intervention.

• Communicate medication refill requests to clinic teams and ensure clarity.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years' experience as a veterinary technician.

• Capability to work from home with dependable access to high-speed internet (at least 50 mbps) and a headset.

• A quiet and distraction-free environment to maintain focus during client conversations for 10-hour shifts.

• High proficiency in typing, navigating multiple computer applications, and communicating via phone.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask accurately and efficiently.

• CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT certification preferred.
