Creative Writer, Linguist – Game Stories: Simplified Chinese to Japanese

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Japan.

📋 Description

• Translate and localize gaming content from Simplified Chinese to Japanese while engaging in creative writing.

• Work closely with both the localization and development teams to communicate translation requirements and assist in resolving any issues that arise during the translation process.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native or native-level proficiency in Japanese (preference given to Japanese nationals).

• Previous experience in copywriting and creative writing in Japanese is essential.

• Strong preference for candidates who have written original stories, novels, books, or scripts.

• An ACTIVE GAMER is required – candidates must have experience playing story-driven or narrative-heavy games.

• Familiarity with common gaming jargon, user interface terminology, and player psychology is necessary.

• Basic to intermediate reading skills in Chinese are required.

• Experience across various game types or genres is a plus.
