This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.
• Over time, assist in the development of ad creatives, including concept creation, editing variations, hooks, cutdowns, and testing variations.
• Edit both short-form and long-form video content tailored for B2C audiences, focusing on social-first strategies and high-retention pacing.
• Create on-brand static and motion graphics assets, such as thumbnails, social media posts, story formats, and simple animations.
• Produce and edit behind-the-scenes content that captures, structures, and refines narratives from behind-the-scenes footage.
• Enhance organic marketing efforts by generating platform-specific content and making adjustments based on performance metrics.
• Work in collaboration with marketing, product, and production teams to transform briefs into clear and actionable creative deliverables.
• Develop and sustain straightforward creative systems, including templates, folder structures, naming conventions, and ensuring brand consistency.
• Demonstrated experience in video editing and design within a consumer (B2C) environment.
• An impressive portfolio showcasing both editing skills (preferably short-form) and design abilities (assets that align with brand standards).
• Proven track record of creating behind-the-scenes or lifestyle content that resonates as authentic and engaging.
• In-depth knowledge of organic social content formats and best practices, including hooks, pacing, and captions.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to tight deadlines and frequent revisions.
• Essential: Prior experience with remote work and proficiency in remote collaboration tools such as Slack, Zoom, Google Workspace, and Asana or similar platforms. Candidates should have experience working with US- or UK-based companies; applications lacking this remote and cross-time-zone collaboration experience will not be considered.
• Experience in creating or refining paid social ad creatives for platforms like Meta, TikTok, and YouTube, including versioning for testing.
• Basic skills in motion graphics, including simple kinetic text, transitions, and compositing.
• Strong instincts for crafting on-screen text, hooks, calls-to-action, and captions.
• Experience collaborating with creators or production teams during on-set or post-production processes.
