This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Take charge of and advance the brand’s creative vision across packaging, web, email, and paid social to ensure it remains consistent and unmistakably “on brand.”
• Transform the founder's vision into clear briefs, concepts, and execution strategies that a creative team can effectively implement.
• Oversee, mentor, and review the work of designers and render artists, ensuring high standards and dependable output.
• Develop and maintain a design system (templates, guidelines, asset libraries) that enhances efficiency without compromising brand quality.
• Create performance-driven creative tailored for testing and success on TikTok and Meta, collaborating with growth teams to learn and iterate rapidly.
• Manage the entire packaging production workflow: print specifications, file setup, proofing, revisions, and coordination with vendors.
• Establish structure in areas lacking it (intake processes, prioritization, review cycles, naming/version control) to ensure smooth scaling of creative production.
• Work collaboratively across marketing, product, and growth teams to synchronize launches, messaging, and visual storytelling.
• Actively participate in high-impact tasks when necessary (art direction, layout, final touches, launch-critical deliverables).
• Selectively manage external partners (printers, photographers, freelancers) while ensuring quality, timelines, and adherence to brand standards.
• **Must-Have:**
• Proven track record of leading creative direction for e-commerce/DTC brands, from concept to execution.
• Hands-on experience in creating Amazon listing images, A+ / Premium A+ content, and overall high-end beauty/personal care creative execution.
• Strong expertise in digital marketing, branding, and multi-channel creative execution (paid social, website, email, product/launch assets).
• Experience guiding and directing other creatives (designers, render artists, or similar roles), including providing feedback and ensuring quality control.
• Practical understanding of production processes: packaging files, print specifications, file formats, and real-world production limitations.
• Experience in creating performance-oriented creative for TikTok and/or Meta (knowledge of building for testing, iteration, and learning).
• Ability to thrive in ambiguous situations and establish structure, priorities, and processes (exhibiting high ownership rather than task-by-task dependency).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across marketing, product, and growth in a remote work environment.
• **Nice-to-Have:**
• Previous creative direction experience in dermatology, skincare, beauty, or related fields.
• Experience in developing TikTok-native creative concepts (UGC ideas, creator briefs, hook/scroll-stopping frameworks).
• Familiarity with managing or collaborating on 3D/render workflows and teams.
• Experience in building internal creative capabilities after depending on agencies (processes, standards, recruiting/building a talent bench).
