This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

• Take charge of the creative and strategic vision for photography and video within the Content Studio.

• Establish a vision for a varied, trendy, and valuable visual content library for Canva users.

• Guide, mentor, and develop senior art directors, photographers, and videographers.

• Advocate for AI-driven methods to create, enhance, tag, and scale content.

• Collaborate with engineering, product, and production leadership to refine tools and workflows.

• Define and maintain creative quality standards for photography and video.

• Commission photo shoots and evaluate creative assets.

• Contribute to the objectives of Canva’s AI Template Marketplace.

• Provide direction for art directors to refine their craft and enhance Canva’s content.

• Proven experience in leading and developing creative teams or specialties, including senior specialists and leaders.

• Capability to set direction and mentor for professional growth.

• Understanding of operating at a platform scale across millions of assets and various contexts.

• Skill in shaping scalable systems and standards.

• Comprehensive understanding of AI and its influence on end-to-end production processes.

• Seasoned creative leader in photography and/or video.

• Strong insights into quality and craftsmanship, demonstrated through portfolio examples.

• Ability to balance creative aspirations with operational efficiency.

• Experience collaborating cross-functionally with creatives, engineers, product managers, and operations leadership.
