COWS Program Specialist – Western US

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Collecting, organizing, and analyzing data pertaining to cow comfort practices on dairy farms.

• Accountable for the on-ground execution of the Novus C.O.W.S. program across the Western region of the United States.

• Offer technical support for cow comfort initiatives and research, including the evaluation of both qualitative and quantitative data.

• Deliver presentations at customer and industry-related events.

• Enhance the sales of ruminant products by collaborating with Novus Sales managers through the utilization of the C.O.W.S. service.

• Cultivate relationships with customers and share industry insights to assist farmers and cattle.

• Supply marketing intelligence by proactively sharing distinctive tools.

• Engage in events such as trade shows, conferences, symposiums, customer visits, meetings, and internal gatherings.

• Comply with the Novus Management System (NMS), Novus Integrity System (NIS), and all relevant policies and procedures associated with the role.


⛳️ Requirements

• Master of Science or equivalent degree in animal sciences, marketing, business, or a related field.

• Familiarity with and understanding of the US ruminant market.

• Proactive approach to ensure optimal use of Novus’ resources to achieve maximum effectiveness.

• Team-oriented mindset to collaborate with sales managers, technical support, marketing, and other team members.

• Strong analytical abilities to develop practical business strategies and solutions that meet customer needs.

• Excellent interpersonal skills for building relationships within a cross-functional team.

• Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively.

• Ability to complete tasks efficiently and within deadlines.

• Strong accuracy and attention to detail.

• Competence in managing project databases and associated paperwork.

• Comfort and professionalism when interacting with dairymen and nutritionists.

• Proficient oral and written communication skills.

• Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, SAS).

• Fluent in English.

• Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.

• Must possess a valid license, be insurable, and capable of driving a motor vehicle.

• Availability to travel 3-5 days per week, three out of four weeks each month.
