This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.
• Assess our market-entry hypotheses and identify the best approach for FICUS to enter and expand in France.
• Establish initial connections with rehabilitation providers, groups of hospitals and clinics, professional associations, payers, and other key healthcare stakeholders.
• Spearhead the initial commercial discussions, taking charge of developing, negotiating, and finalizing our first pilot partnerships.
• Navigate the regulatory landscape, data protection, procurement, and reimbursement requirements in France at both the national and regional levels.
• Incorporate a comprehensive understanding of French rehabilitation workflows and provider needs into our product development.
• Actively build the French market with direct support from our founding team and our teams in Germany.
• After validating the market, establish the local team and assume full operational and financial responsibility for France, which includes team leadership, operations, and P&L management.
• A minimum of ten years of pertinent experience in the French healthcare or rehabilitation sector, such as a leadership role within a provider or clinic group, in healthcare consulting, in market access, or in a commercial leadership position at a digital health company.
• A strong grasp of the French healthcare system and its national and regional decision-making frameworks.
• Relevant experience in rehabilitation, hospital care, or a related provider market.
• A well-established and pertinent network, along with the credibility to open doors within rehabilitation providers, hospital or clinic groups, payers, professional associations, or health authorities in France.
• A proven history of building rather than merely managing, such as establishing a new market, business unit, commercial operation, or partnership framework.
• The capability to effectively navigate a highly ambiguous environment without a pre-defined playbook and to create one independently.
• A blend of strategic thinking and practical execution skills.
• The readiness and credibility to personally lead discussions, negotiate agreements, and foster partnerships.
• Proficiency in French and professional command of English; knowledge of German is a plus.
• Openness to regular travel within France and to Berlin.
