This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.
• Oversee the complete launch process of Montu in Poland, which includes creating a new Polish legal entity and collaborating with broader European teams for assistance.
• Take charge of day-to-day operations for Montu Poland, ensuring efficient execution across all functional areas as the business develops.
• Formulate and implement a market entry and growth strategy to establish and expand the Polish business.
• Cultivate and manage relationships with importers, wholesalers, and suppliers of medical cannabis products in Poland.
• Navigate the regulatory and licensing landscape in Poland for the import, wholesale, and distribution of cannabis-based medicines.
• Develop and negotiate the local supply chain, including partnerships for distribution and logistics.
• Identify and, where applicable, assist in establishing clinical partnerships or a clinic model to enhance patient access.
• Recognize, develop, and execute new commercial opportunities and strategic partnerships.
• Create and implement operational processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs) across key areas such as patient onboarding, logistics, clinical operations, and compliance.
• Recruit, train, and nurture a high-performing local team as the business expands.
• Work closely with central UK/EU functions (Regulatory, Product, Commercial, Finance, and Partnerships) to ensure alignment and operational excellence.
• Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational and commercial success.
• Act as a representative of Montu with local regulators, government bodies, industry associations, and healthcare stakeholders.
• A truly entrepreneurial mindset, motivated by the challenge of building from the ground up without an existing team or market infrastructure.
• Proven experience in leading small to medium-sized teams and developing operational frameworks from the ground up.
• Experience with P&L responsibility or closely associated financial management.
• Familiarity with navigating Polish regulatory and licensing requirements in a regulated sector (pharmaceuticals, medical devices, healthcare, or cannabis).
• Strong strategic thinking paired with a hands-on, execution-driven approach.
• Proficient in Polish and have strong professional English skills, both written and spoken.
• Exceptional stakeholder management abilities, particularly with regulators, government entities, and senior internal/external partners.
• Comfortable working in uncertain and rapidly changing environments, able to operate independently while reporting to a remote, international leadership team.
• Willingness to travel throughout Poland as needed by the business.
• Must be fluent in both Polish and English.
• Please note regarding contract type: this position will commence on a contract basis while the Polish legal entity is being established, with the aim of transitioning to permanent employment once the entity is operational.
