This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• In this role, you will report to the Senior Director of Programs and take charge of leading and implementing Tilt Collective’s US program.
• This position offers the chance to create one of the most impactful philanthropic initiatives aimed at promoting balanced food systems.
• You will enhance Tilt Collective's US strategy, oversee grant-making activities, and manage a diverse portfolio of grantees.
• Your efforts will focus on bolstering the US civil society 'movement' and securing support for healthy and sustainable food from both existing and prospective donors.
• You will operate with a significant level of autonomy while leveraging the expertise of our global team.
• Refine Tilt Collective’s US strategy to pinpoint the most crucial levers of change, prioritize effective approaches, and identify the necessary ecosystem to achieve these goals.
• The strategy must encompass all three of Tilt Collective’s 'pillars' of work: policy change, private sector engagement, and narrative transformation.
• Clearly and concisely articulate Tilt Collective’s US strategy for understanding by donors and other stakeholders.
• Conduct proactive outreach across various sectors within the food systems field, drawing insights from the environment, health, consumer, farmer, and other relevant constituencies to formulate an effective strategy.
• Manage the process for obtaining grant approvals.
• Extensive and verifiable professional experience in climate and health, particularly related to food systems.
• Proven ability to design high-level strategies and translate them into actionable implementations, with a strong emphasis on achieving impact.
• Exceptional networking and interpersonal skills to foster relationships with partners and grantees.
• Experience in engaging donors, particularly within a philanthropic context.
• A strong network within civil society, donor, and business stakeholders in a relevant national context, along with a solid reputation in the field.
• Capability to work across various disciplines pertinent to food system transition, including environment, health, farming, animal rights, social development, food security, and consumer advocacy.
• Flexible and effective in navigating a dynamic and evolving landscape.
• Dedication to fostering an inclusive and collaborative work culture.
• Ability to work effectively within a virtual, remote team, and in-person as necessary.
