This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Draft, negotiate, and review a diverse array of global commercial agreements, including those that are highly complex and innovative.

• Work collaboratively and provide strategic legal guidance to various cross-functional teams, such as sales, product, finance, tax, customer operations, and risk management.

• Lead or engage in initiatives aimed at enhancing internal processes and boosting the efficiency and scalability of the Commercial Legal team.

• Train and assist in educating internal business partners.

• Manage and resolve legal challenges arising from existing domestic and international commercial relationships.

• Develop and refine templates for global revenue-generating commercial agreements.

• Foster collaborative and effective relationships with various teams both in the U.S. and internationally.

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited institution and current membership in good standing with the bar in at least one U.S. state.

• Over 5 years of experience in complex commercial drafting and negotiation (preferably involving revenue-generating contracts); prior experience in-house and at law firms is advantageous.

• Strong project management abilities, with a knack for organizing, prioritizing, and maintaining composure under pressure.

• Capability to prioritize and advance multiple concurrent transactions against tight deadlines while delivering high-quality work products.

• Excellent judgment and the ability to make timely, pragmatic, and business-oriented decisions in ambiguous situations with incomplete information.

• A robust work ethic, sense of ownership, accountability, and a proactive approach to taking on necessary tasks.

• Experience in drafting and negotiating data privacy clauses, including but not limited to, CCPA, GLBA, and GDPR contract terms.

• Clear and concise communication skills for effective collaboration and negotiation with both internal and external business and legal teams.

• Adaptability in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and a passion for learning.
