This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
β’ Deliver strategic legal support throughout the organization.
β’ Advise HR and management on requests related to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and religious accommodations.
β’ Assist in the compliance and management of state paid time off, paid leave, and paid sick time initiatives.
β’ Offer legal counsel on issues concerning leave of absences and employee relations.
β’ Conduct investigations into legal claims and address inquiries from various state agencies.
β’ Oversee external counsel on assigned legal matters.
β’ Keep track of and interpret employment laws while recommending necessary updates to policies and practices.
β’ Create and present training sessions on topics related to employment law.
β’ Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law institution.
β’ Active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction and maintaining good standing.
β’ A minimum of 4+ years of legal experience, with a primary focus on employment law.
β’ Experience in providing labor and employment law guidance, ideally for a national or multi-state workforce.
β’ Strong understanding of federal, state, and local employment regulations, including ADA, Title VII, FLSA, and leave statutes.
β’ Demonstrated experience in litigating or managing external counsel on employment-related claims before government agencies and/or in court or arbitration.
β’ Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
β’ Capability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
