This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Prepare, negotiate, and oversee:

• Engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contracts

• Equipment supply and other procurement-related contracts

• Operations and maintenance contracts

• Master services contracts and additional service agreements related to the development, construction, and operation of renewable energy power plants

• Non-disclosure agreements

• Provide guidance to management regarding business transactions involving customers, contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors.

• Proactively manage both upstream and downstream risks across various contracts and projects.

• Assist and/or represent the company during contract negotiations with all business partners.

• Advise the company on claims and disputes involving subcontractors, suppliers, and other business partners.

• Engage in the resolution of intricate and sensitive legal matters.

• Supervise outside legal counsel and consultants.

• Conduct training sessions for company staff as necessary.

• Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.

• Active license to practice law in at least one jurisdiction within the United States.

• A minimum of two years of legal experience is required.

• Experience within the renewable energy sector.

• Proficiency in drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements such as engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contracts, capital equipment procurement agreements, or power purchase agreements.

• Exhibit strong oral and written communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to take on leadership responsibilities; a proactive approach to projects and tasks is essential.

• Solid understanding of legal principles in relevant areas and skilled in their interpretation and application.

• Experience in managing commercial disputes.

• Possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

• Must be capable of managing a heavy workload, meeting critical time constraints, juggling multiple project responsibilities, and adapting to changing priorities.

• Some travel may be necessary.
