This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Assisting the client in developing procurement strategies, which include vendor prequalification, bid evaluation, and managing the appointment process.
• Aiding in the formulation of comprehensive cost estimates that encompass construction, fees, and other associated project expenses.
• Contributing to the creation and upkeep of cost plans that align with early works, site development, and heavy civil scopes.
• Supporting the review of contractor and vendor proposals, which includes bid leveling and commercial evaluations.
• Engaging in value engineering initiatives and risk assessments.
• Assisting with cost reporting by preparing and refreshing cost reports, forecasts, and budget tracking tools.
• Maintaining project budgets, expenditure forecasts, and commercial risk registers.
• Participating in regular cost review meetings with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Aiding in cost control processes, including the assessment of payment applications and contractor entitlement evaluations.
• Monitoring and analyzing change orders, providing recommendations to the client.
• Contributing to efforts aimed at avoiding and resolving disputes related to payments and change management.
• Supporting the tracking of commitments, contingencies, and cost implications throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assisting in the creation of monthly cost reports and client presentations.
• Aiding in final account reconciliation, post-contract audits, and project closure activities.
• Maintaining cost data and contributing to benchmarking initiatives.
• Assisting in documenting lessons learned and promoting continuous improvement efforts.
• Performing tasks using standard tools such as bid analysis sheets, change control documentation, estimating software, and quantity take-off tools.
• A bachelor’s degree in construction management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of pertinent experience in cost management within the construction sector.
• Experience in supporting fast-paced construction programs with substantial site development components.
• RICS accreditation or progression toward accreditation is preferred.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination abilities.
• Candidates must be physically located in the United States and legally authorized to work in the U.S.; remote work is permitted only within the United States.
