This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Assist in managing costs throughout all stages of the project, ensuring consistency with the defined scope, budget, and timeline.

• Create and uphold comprehensive cost plans and estimates, particularly for heavy civil elements like earthworks, foundations, and utility infrastructure.

• Generate and deliver monthly financial reports, executive summaries, and updates to stakeholders.

• Oversee the change control processes, including the review and negotiation of change orders and post-contract cost discrepancies.

• Supervise the pricing reviews of contractors and subcontractors, validate scopes, and develop procurement strategies.

• Work collaboratively with design teams, general contractors, and vendors to confirm cost estimates and conduct quantity surveying.

• Foster continuous enhancement in cost management practices, promoting standardization and top-tier delivery.

• Support cost risk assessments and scenario planning for multi-phase projects.

• Track market trends and provide insights regarding escalation, labor availability, and material costs.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a similar discipline.

• Experience in heavy civil projects, preferably from a contractor or general contractor perspective (earthworks, utilities, structural foundations).

• Diverse experience in cost management or project controls within large-scale, mission-critical settings (e.g., data centers, high-tech, industrial projects).

• A proven history in construction consultancy is preferred.

• Strong expertise in budgeting, financial reporting, cost control systems, and Earned Value Management (EVM).

• Proficient in procurement strategies and the commercial management of contractor/vendor agreements.

• RICS accreditation or progress toward certification is a plus.
