This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +3 more locations.
• Develop a funding strategy based on cost evidence in collaboration with BUR and External Relations.
• Establish a work plan along with objectives and key results (OKRs).
• Write five public-facing thought-leadership articles ranging from 500 to 2,000 words.
• Prepare eight funder briefs based on cost evidence, detailing giving criteria, funding opportunities, and engagement pathways.
• Compile a comprehensive list of high-probability funding opportunities aligned with potential funders.
• Produce 15 concept notes for funding opportunities, including preliminary calculations for cost-effectiveness and absorptive capacity.
• Facilitate review sessions and provide written feedback on approximately 5 to 10 BOTECs created by BUR team members.
• Work in partnership with the Senior Director of Cost-effectiveness, BUR, External Relations, and other IRC colleagues.
• Assist in managing IRC’s relationships with funders, donor-oriented funding opportunities, and thought leadership initiatives.
• Over 8 years of experience in cost-evidence-based funding or fundraising.
• Proven track record of distributing or securing multi-year grants of $5 million or more.
• Strong preference for at least 3 years of experience in low- or middle-income countries.
• Excellent quantitative abilities, including the capacity to construct, interpret, and defend cost-effectiveness analyses or BOTECs.
• Strong preference for experience in analyzing humanitarian programs in fragile and conflict-affected settings.
• Strong preference for experience in developing and utilizing AI tools to facilitate analysis.
• Outstanding writing and communication skills suitable for both technical and general audiences.
• Proficient in cost-evidence-based funder terminology.
• Commitment to the values of cost-evidence-based funders, including high standards of reasoning transparency, truth-seeking, and humility.
• Capability to design and prioritize an independent work plan.
• Exceptional attention to detail, particularly in project and knowledge management.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects and engage multiple stakeholders within a large organization.
• Flexibility to work under pressure and handle competing priorities effectively.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in French is an advantage.
