Cost Estimator, Industrial Projects

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Creating Class 3 and Class 4 capital cost estimates for projects related to manufacturing, warehouse, and facility expansion.

• Generating comprehensive quantity take-offs and cost analyses across various engineering disciplines.

• Developing, enhancing, and managing estimating methodologies and tools for the organization.

• Assessing engineering drawings, specifications, scope of work documents, bid packages, and vendor/contractor quotes for accuracy and completeness.

• Engaging directly with business stakeholders, the design team, and project engineers to define and estimate capital projects.

• Investigating and confirming market prices, labor rates, and equipment costs to maintain current and justifiable estimates.

• Presenting estimates to internal stakeholders and leadership with clarity and assurance.

• Traveling to manufacturing and distribution locations (~30%) for site visits specific to projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10+ years of combined experience in engineering and cost estimating.

• Proven experience with Class 4 estimations for industrial projects.

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (any discipline) or Construction Management is required.

• Practical experience with industry-standard estimating software (e.g., ProEst, Procore, RS Means, or similar platforms).

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).

• Experience in developing Scope of Work documents.

• Familiarity with project management, including coordination of cross-functional teams.

• Must possess authorization to work in the U.S. — sponsorship is not available for this position.
