Cost Estimator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Develop estimates, analyses, studies, and evaluations across all phases of project development.

• Deliver conceptual estimates, perform detailed quantity take-offs, and manage change order reviews/reconciliations, along with providing necessary value engineering solutions.

• Examine documentation and create comprehensive cost estimates/models that effectively convey the client's project and strategic objectives.

• Ensure that a high-quality product is presented to the client by following QA/QC procedures.

• Communicate effectively using clear and concise methods suitable for the project objectives.

• Investigate, solicit, and establish sources/vendors to compile and maintain accurate cost data.

• Aid in business development by cultivating, promoting, and sustaining client relationships, as well as preparing cost exhibits for proposals, meetings, and presentations.

• Assist federal government construction initiatives throughout the entire project lifecycle.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a cost estimating professional, ideally in a consulting setting, with expertise in conceptual estimating, quantity take-offs, change order reviews and reconciliations, value engineering, and cost analysis.

• Proven ability to comprehend, interpret, and analyze construction documents at all design stages.

• Proficient in On-Screen Takeoff (OST) and MII/PACES estimating software.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite.

• Willingness and ability to travel periodically as needed.

• Must successfully pass a thorough background check and secure HSPD-12 Federal Contractor clearance.

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.
