This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create comprehensive cost estimates derived from conceptual designs, specifications, and client requirements.
• Convert design intent into cost structures based on materials, labor, and complexity.
• Develop and uphold standardized costing models for consistent solutions.
• Ensure that estimates accurately reflect prevailing pricing, production capabilities, and supply chain realities.
• Collaborate with Project Executives and Solutions Designers to aid in bid strategy and pricing decisions.
• Offer scenario modeling (e.g., options for value engineering, adjustments in scope, alternatives).
• Assess the cost impacts of design modifications in real time during the pursuit phase.
• Assist in margin analysis and ensure alignment with targeted financial outcomes.
• Recognize cost, scope, and execution risks early in the opportunity lifecycle.
• Implement risk factors or contingencies based on the complexity and uncertainty of projects.
• Work alongside Design and Order Engineering to confirm assumptions.
• Maintain tracking of estimate accuracy (comparing estimated costs to actual performance).
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Relevant qualifications such as Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) or LEED accreditation are advantageous.
• A minimum of 3–5 years of experience in construction cost estimation, ideally within prefabricated construction or a similar sector.
• Proficient in construction estimating software (e.g., ProEst, PlanSwift, Bluebeam), AutoCAD, and the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project).
• Thorough understanding of construction processes, prefabrication techniques, building codes, and regulations.
• Strong analytical and mathematical capabilities, with the ability to interpret intricate project documents and data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of effectively presenting estimates and reports.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
