This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.
• Ensure the accuracy of federal grant expenditures by assessing cost allocation methodologies.
• Verify financial data and maintain compliance with 2 CFR Part 200 and client specifications.
• Examine and evaluate Cost Allocation Plans (CAPs) and Indirect Cost Rate Proposals (IDCRPs).
• Reconcile cost data with financial statements, budgets, and relevant supporting documents.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports, findings, and recommendations.
• Keep precise spreadsheets, tracking tools, and financial records.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners, including grant recipients.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is required.
• Over 7 years of experience in accounting, finance, or grants management.
• Practical experience with direct and indirect cost allocation.
• Experience with the Federal Government is essential.
• Familiarity with federal grant regulations (2 CFR Part 200).
• Knowledge of GAAP and fundamental cost accounting principles.
• Proficient in Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, data validation, error-checking, and data analysis skills.
• Experience with financial systems (such as UFMS, PMS, GrantSolutions, or similar).
