This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement local community engagement strategies that align with CRA and Community Benefits Plan (CBP) objectives.

• Identify essential community needs and manage reputational risks effectively.

• Establish partnerships to enhance CRA-eligible lending, investment, and financial education initiatives.

• Act as KeyBank’s representative and liaison within the community.

• Track CRA performance and collaborate with various business lines to enhance results.

• Engage in the Community Investment Committee and contribute to market planning efforts.

• Ensure alignment with CRA Data Analytics, ESG, and Sustainability teams.

• Work in tandem with the KeyBank Foundation to synchronize philanthropic investments with CRA objectives.

• Collaborate with LOB leaders to guide market strategies and address reputational concerns.

• Assist in marketing and communications activities to highlight community impact.

• Identify business referral opportunities and educate community leaders about KeyBank’s offerings.

• Contribute to branch strategy discussions and advocate for the sharing of CRA knowledge.

• Lead or support local initiatives, diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts, sponsorships, and employee volunteer activities.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in banking, financial services, or community development.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Proven ability to cultivate and sustain strong relationships with community-based, charitable, and nonprofit organizations.

• Comprehensive knowledge of the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), Community Benefits Plans (CBP), and associated compliance regulations.

• Skill in developing and executing local engagement strategies that align with corporate objectives.

• Ability to capture and convey the impact of community investments using standardized frameworks.

• Collaborate closely with business lines, marketing, philanthropy, ESG, and HR to align initiatives and share insights.

• Proactively identify and manage reputational risks through community engagement.

• Capability to lead CRA initiatives from the planning stage through to execution.

• Represent the organization in public forums and community panels.

• Analyze and interpret data to guide strategy and demonstrate impact.

• Navigate diverse communities with a focus on sensitivity and inclusivity.
