Corporate Recruiter – 1099

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with Hiring Managers and Recruiting Leads to assess hiring requirements.

• Oversee the complete recruiting process within the contact center portfolio, including sourcing, hiring, processing, and onboarding.

• Evaluate resumes, conduct interviews via phone, pre-recorded video, and/or in-person, administer assessments, verify references, and recommend hiring decisions.

• Provide updates to candidates and Hiring Managers regarding the status of the interview process.

• Manage and report candidate activity within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS); assess pipeline health and suggest improvements.

• Draft and extend employment offers for both exempt and non-exempt roles.

• Oversee the security process for contingent hires, assist candidates, address inquiries, and verify documents prior to submission.

• Achieve hiring targets, turnaround times, and service-level expectations.

• Acquire knowledge and independently utilize new systems, tools, and workflows.

• Create job descriptions.

• Establish and nurture relationships with both active and passive talent.

• Design, refine, and execute recruiting strategies in collaboration with recruiting teams and senior management.

• Monitor job boards, social media, and recruiting platforms; develop and publish job descriptions and announcements.

• Source and identify candidates who meet specific requirements and qualifications.

• Provide employment information during offer presentations, including benefits, compensation, and non-competition agreements.

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws and regulations.

• Upload, track, and maintain documentation within ATS, HRIS, and security systems, ensuring proper labeling, version control, and readiness for audits.

• Execute additional assigned tasks.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of recruiting experience is required.

• Experience in federal contracting recruitment is highly preferred.

• Solid understanding of the recruiting life cycle.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and time-sensitive environment.

• Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and decision-making abilities.

• Experience managing multiple positions and portfolios.

• Advanced proficiency in MS Office, database management, and online research.

• Familiarity with utilizing an Applicant Tracking System.

• Experience with job board databases, HR software, and management systems.

• Demonstrated experience in conducting various interview formats.

• Background in or support of a federal government contracting organization.

• Experience ensuring job descriptions are posted to all relevant state and diversity job boards.

• Experience in recruiting for positions covered under the Service Contract Act (SCA).

• Proven ability to build professional networks to identify qualified passive candidates.

• Working knowledge of SCA wage determinations, labor categories, and compliance considerations.

• Familiarity with government contract staffing requirements, including clearance prerequisites, onboarding timelines, and flow-down obligations.

• BA/BS degree is preferred.
