This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the main technical authority for the capital portfolio of the plant.
• Sanction significant design deviations and offer high-level solutions for execution obstacles.
• Guide critical decision-making using expert-level data analysis, reasoning, and risk assessment.
• Function as the subject matter expert on project execution standards.
• Ensure that projects have a clearly defined scope, budget, schedule, and compliance with engineering standards prior to progression.
• Create and present business cases for essential, large-scale capital initiatives.
• Promote continuous improvement and adaptation strategies throughout the engineering department.
• Lead cross-functional teams through the complete project lifecycle, including site expansions and technological advancements.
• Manage complex relationships with stakeholders, including those at the executive level.
• Assist management in monitoring project engineering workloads and identify when external engineering firms are required.
• Foster talent development through guidance, knowledge sharing, and the translation of lessons learned into best practices.
• Execute other job responsibilities as assigned.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
• Over 10 years of experience in an engineering capacity.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and precision.
• Capability to manage multiple projects at once.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting.
• Proficiency in influencing and leading others without direct authority.
• Willingness to promote continuous improvement and change.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Capacity to work with minimal supervision and make independent judgments and decisions.
• Outstanding organizational skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite.
• Experience in managing large capital projects.
• Advanced understanding of financial governance, the capital funding (AFCE) process, and large-scale portfolio management.
• Advanced knowledge of corporate engineering standards and the project execution process.
• Ability to develop, analyze, and present comprehensive business cases for multi-million-dollar capital investments.
• Capability to evaluate, approve, and supervise significant design deviations and provide high-level engineering solutions.
• Expert-level skills in root cause analysis.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical reasoning abilities.
• Ability to develop, interpret, and revise complex technical documentation and engineering drawings.
• Expertise in standard manufacturing concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Preferred: Over 10 years of experience in manufacturing or roofing/building products.
• Preferred: Advanced proficiency in engineering and project management software.
• Proven ability to develop, prioritize, and execute plans across multiple projects.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without employer-sponsored visa.
