This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• You will take ownership of workstreams in our M&A processes, investor communications, and key strategic initiatives for the CEO, CFO, and Advisory Board.
• M&A sourcing and pipeline management: sustain and enhance our M&A pipeline, conduct structured assessments of new targets, and initiate outreach and banker calls.
• Project management for acquisition processes: oversee the due diligence and legal documentation processes — including independently conducting Commercial Due Diligence, from analysis to the final decision paper for management and the Advisory Board.
• Accountability for post-closing integration planning and the PMO — which involves tracking value levers, synergies, and milestones.
• Corporate Finance: assist in structuring and executing our acquisition financings (equity and debt) in close collaboration with our CFO.
• Investor Relations: manage our shareholder group professionally — including monthly reporting and communication with our Advisory Board.
• Strategy & CEO/CFO support: autonomously manage strategic special projects for the CEO and CFO — such as market-entry and portfolio inquiries, make-or-buy analyses, and preparation of decision papers and presentations for our shareholders.
• AI enablement: proactively utilize and further advance our AI workflows in analysis, reporting, and presentations.
• Mentoring: offer technical leadership and onboarding for our working students and interns within the team.
• A minimum of 2–4 years of professional experience in investment banking (M&A), private equity, a startup, strategy consulting, transaction services, or a similar role.
• A strong academic background in economics, finance, industrial engineering, or another quantitative field.
• You possess analytical and strategic thinking skills, quickly understanding complex issues and translating them into clear narratives — both in writing and in management-ready presentations.
• Strong numerical abilities and proficiency in Excel are essential — you can organize complex calculations clearly and produce decision-ready materials.
• You communicate confidently with external stakeholders (advisors, targets, shareholders), facilitate meetings independently, and represent AlphaPet professionally in external engagements.
• A sense of ownership and pragmatism is inherent to you: you take responsibility for your workstreams, prioritize by impact (80/20 where appropriate, depth where mission-critical), and propose solutions to obstacles.
• AI-savvy and hands-on: you actively utilize AI tools (e.g., Claude) to enhance efficiency and quality, and contribute to the evolution of our AI workflows.
• Proficient in both German and English, with business fluency in written and spoken forms.
