Corporate Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Prepare, assess, and negotiate a diverse array of contracts including SaaS agreements, master service agreements, partnership contracts, vendor agreements, and various other commercial contracts.

• Contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of contract templates, focusing on the improvement of commercial contracting playbooks and workflows.

• Compose and evaluate privacy-related documentation such as data processing agreements, privacy policies, terms of use, and risk assessments.

• Aid in the integration of AI tools into legal workflows (for instance, automation of contract reviews).

• Support the management of the contract lifecycle process by optimizing the utilization of contract management tools.

• Oversee ad hoc legal projects and assist with broader initiatives within the legal team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with an active bar membership in good standing.

• At least 2 years of practical experience in negotiating commercial contracts, acquired in a law firm, in-house, or a combination of both.

• Capability to independently manage and negotiate commercial contracts, including those involving customers and vendors.

• Understanding of data privacy, intellectual property, and regulatory matters, particularly regarding GDPR and CCPA.

• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and project management abilities.

• Strong attention to detail and a comprehensive understanding of legal and business risks associated with contracts.

• Proficient problem-solving skills with the capacity to work autonomously in a dynamic environment.
