This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Execute financial transactions promptly and with precision.
• Manage bill payments utilizing various payment platforms.
• Analyze financial data to uncover trends, patterns, and opportunities, leveraging these insights to foster positive developments.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of bank and credit card statements.
• Contribute to the month-end closing activities.
• Aid in the development and upkeep of working papers to support daily operations.
• Review accounts payable invoices and credit card entries, ensuring proper matching of AP documents (invoice, PO, POD, and credit card receipt).
• Assist in preparing and submitting regulatory reports and tax documentation.
• Compile remittances for HST, QST, EHT, and WSIB.
• Support external reviews and audit processes as needed.
• Update accounts receivable and issue invoices as necessary.
• Manage payables for shipping accounts (Wizmo, FedEx, Purolator, etc.).
• Assist with the bi-weekly payroll process, ad-hoc reporting, capital asset management, and purchase order creation as needed.
• A bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• At least 2 years of experience as part of a Finance team.
• Proficiency in advanced spreadsheet functions.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Detail-oriented, independent, resourceful, organized, and proactive.
