Core System Programmer – Symitar

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Supports and enhances PEFCU’s Symitar core system along with related business applications, ensuring they operate reliably and efficiently.

• Responsible for the design, development, testing, and implementation of technical solutions, translating business needs into practical specifications.

• Offers technical leadership and collaborates with stakeholders to improve system performance.

• Addresses complex technical challenges and maintains comprehensive documentation to facilitate ongoing enhancements.

• Designs, codes (utilizing PowerOn, SQL, etc.), tests, and deploys custom solutions, reports, forms, and other core system utilities.

• Establishes and maintains connections between Symitar and third-party platforms through SymXchange, Symform, and web services.

• Aids in the analysis of core system data to support various business operations, member services, lending, accounting, compliance, and online services.

• Diagnoses and resolves intricate issues to ensure system stability and data integrity.

• Collaborates with business units, IT, and project managers to provide technical guidance and support.

• Keeps accurate, comprehensive, and timely documentation of system modifications, programming tasks, troubleshooting efforts, and project outcomes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with Symitar programming, including proficiency in PowerOn scripting and Symitar system administration.

• Bachelor's degree is preferred but not mandatory.

• Strong organizational and analytical abilities.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

• Experience in system integration, automation, and process enhancement.

• Knowledge of compliance, security, and internal controls related to core banking systems.

• Familiarity with additional Jack Henry products/modules is preferred.

• Knowledge of cloud technologies and automation platforms is a plus.

• Proficient understanding of Symitar PowerOn programming, with experience in JavaScript and HTML development.

• Ability to effectively convey technical and non-technical information to a diverse audience.
