This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska.
• Accountable for the daily preparation, production, stocking, and presentation of a diverse range of foods.
• Executes all main line food production responsibilities with specific items determined by the assigned shift.
• Reviews the day's requirements with designated supervisor(s), completes production sheets, checks maintenance reports, and confirms supply needs and availability.
• Aids assigned supervisors with menu planning and recipe formulation.
• Oversees and replenishes all salad bar and pantry production items while adhering to proper rotation procedures.
• Prepares various food items, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and salad bar selections.
• Cleans and sanitizes preparation areas and equipment.
• Engages with supervisors to discuss necessary meal items and backups.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of five (5) years of relevant restaurant cooking experience demonstrating a strong understanding of high-volume food production, food service operations, equipment, and supervisory skills.
• Candidates must possess the ability to instruct and train others, as well as manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Must acquire or hold an Alaska Food Workers Card and/or ServSafe Certification upon hire.
• Ability to collaborate and work effectively as part of a team with colleagues, customers, and clients is essential.
• Must be capable of making decisions promptly with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to stand for 12 hours per shift as per the scheduled rotation.
• Must be willing to live in dormitory-style accommodations and adhere to cleanliness standards of the remote camp.
• Contract stipulates that employees must speak, understand, read, and write in English.
• Must comply with all safety guidelines and regulations established by the company and client.
• Candidates must successfully pass all pre-employment contract requirements, which may include but are not limited to: drug tests, physical assessments, fit-for-duty evaluations, and hearing tests.
• For candidates residing in Alaska for the Alyeska Contract: pre-employment testing will be arranged near the candidate’s place of residence within the state.
