📋 Description

• Assist various fee earners with sales, purchases, re-mortgages, and equity transfers.

• Order, track, and perform initial reviews of property search packages, encompassing local authority, environmental, and drainage searches.

• Record onboarding compliance documents, such as KYC/AML and TA forms.

• Draft standard contracts, transfers of title (TR1), property questionnaires, and mortgage documents under the guidance of UK fee earners.

• Manage department-wide post-completion tasks, including creating completion statements, drafting and submitting SDLT returns, and filing Land Registry applications (AP1).

• Address and respond swiftly to Land Registry requisitions.

• Advance active conveyancing files under supervision, particularly during fee-earner absences or increased workloads.

• Engage with UK colleagues, estate agents, lenders, redemption departments, and opposing conveyancers.

• Alleviate pressure on UK fee earners, allowing them to focus on complex legal issues while ensuring continuity in caseloads.

⛳️ Requirements

• Hands-on experience in handling residential conveyancing specifically under English and Welsh law.

• Comprehensive knowledge of the entire UK conveyancing process, from file initiation, search requests, and contract creation to exchange, completion, and post-completion activities.

• Demonstrated ability in independently managing AP1 Land Registry submissions, SDLT filings, and resolving requisitions.

• Proficient in using legal Case Management Systems (CMS) and maintaining up-to-date digital audit trails.

• Comfortable with administrative duties and serving as a flexible resource to support multiple team members.

• Clear and articulate spoken and written English for effective collaboration with UK legal teams and external parties.

• Must reside in South Africa or the Philippines.
