This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the safe, efficient, and timely commissioning, trial runs, and acceptance testing of the GE Mark VIe control system for Combined Cycle Power Plants.
• Conduct pre-checks, system energization, and network verification to guarantee seamless communication and full functionality among all devices and subsystems.
• Direct and perform loop checks, functional tests, and protection testing, adhering to stringent documentation and operational log standards.
• Manage system handovers throughout all stages — from installation to commissioning and final customer delivery — ensuring complete adherence to procedures and documentation requirements.
• Diagnose complex hardware and software problems, review control logic against engineering design documents, and implement modifications for HMI screens and alarm configurations.
• Promote a robust safety culture by implementing and enforcing EHS procedures, which include risk assessments, safety walks, and monitoring subcontractor compliance.
• Ensure that all commissioning activities comply with site safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Provide clear, actionable technical feedback and comprehensive site reports to engineering and project teams.
• Oversee the inventory of commissioning test equipment, including inspection, usage tracking, and timely returns.
• Participate in lessons-learned initiatives and continuous improvement programs within the commissioning organization.
• Bachelor's degree in Controls Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Willingness and ability to travel for extended field assignments (up to 100%) across the United States and internationally.
