This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Supervise the accounting operations at Evergreen Nephrology, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and timely financial reporting.
• Manage the general ledger while ensuring the completeness of financial transactions.
• Direct month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare and oversee financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in compliance with GAAP.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll operations.
• Implement and uphold accounting policies and procedures that align with GAAP and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with external vendors to prepare annual federal and state tax filings.
• Assist with financial reporting, budgeting, and long-term strategic planning.
• Monitor cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity.
• Manage treasury administration and fund distribution to partners.
• Cultivate banking relationships and optimize the company's cash position in partnership with finance leadership.
• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations, including tax filings and financial reporting standards.
• Oversee the annual audit process in coordination with external auditors.
• Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with contracts, credit, and operational processes.
• Lead and mentor the accounting and payroll team.
• Evaluate team performance, providing feedback, coaching, and training.
• Ensure adequate staffing and resources for financial reporting and operational requirements.
• Report directly to the SVP of Finance.
• Perform additional duties as assigned that align with the role.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• At least 12 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a minimum of 4 years in a leadership position.
• Proficient in financial management software and ERP systems.
• Strong analytical and technological skills, capable of interpreting complex financial data and providing strategic insights.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
• High integrity and adherence to ethical standards.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook and Teams.
• Ability to work effectively in a predominantly remote environment.
• Home internet with a minimum download speed of 25 Mbps and upload speed of 10 Mbps; cable, fiber, or DSL hardwired connections are recommended.
• A dedicated workspace free from interruptions to safeguard member PHI/HIPAA information.
• Availability to work from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm in the Central time zone.
• CPA is highly preferred.
• An MBA or other advanced degree is preferred.
• Experience with NetSuite is highly preferred.
• Experience in the healthcare industry, particularly within value-based care or managed care organizations, is highly desirable.
