📋 Description

• Supervise the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable operations, ensuring precise and timely processing of payments, client billing, and comprehensive cash management.

• Take ownership of the monthly revenue recognition procedure and associated reporting.

• Uphold the integrity of the general ledger by managing weekly postings, journal entries, and account reconciliations; review and approve balance sheet schedules to guarantee completeness and accuracy.

• Oversee month-end and quarter-end closing processes, including the preparation and review of account reconciliations, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, quarterly tax estimates, and debt schedules.

• Spearhead the preparation of financial statements, management reporting, and variance analysis to deliver insights into financial performance.

• Supervise compliance-related submissions (e.g., 1099s, business registrations, sales/use tax, and other periodic filings).

• Assist with payroll processing by reviewing deductions, benefits, and reconciling payroll-related accounts.

• Manage vendor relationships, ensuring contract compliance, W-9 collection, and timely payment execution.

• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, policies, and procedures; recommend and implement process enhancements for efficiency and scalability.

• Provide assistance for client audits, tax preparation, and other external assessments.

• Collaboratively engage with department leaders to comprehend financial performance.

• Partner with HR on new hire onboarding, payroll system management, and employee-related financial procedures.

• Mentor and supervise an accountant and two (2) interns, aiding in the development of technical skills, ensuring accuracy in their work, and promoting professional growth.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting.

• Over 5 years of relevant professional experience in general corporate accounting, preferably within a service-oriented company.

• Experience in public accounting or auditing is advantageous, but not mandatory.

• Familiarity or experience with GAAP accounting and monthly closing processes is required.

• Capacity to drive process enhancements for both efficiency and effectiveness.

• Proficient in NetSuite and Excel, with experience using Datarails considered a plus.

• Exposure to automation tools and the integration of AI within Finance/Accounting disciplines.

• Demonstrated and measurable success in organizational skills and adherence to deadlines.

• Exceptional attention to detail is vital for ensuring the accuracy of financial records.

• Self-motivated and takes initiative and responsibility.

• Equally competitive and curious; a genuine problem solver.

• Ability to communicate effectively with team members, senior management, and external partners, as well as to supervise and guide accounting personnel.

• Capable of organizing, prioritizing, and managing multiple projects simultaneously while operating with a sense of urgency for high-priority tasks.

• Strong analytical skills to assess financial data, identify discrepancies, and make informed forecasts.
