Control Operator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Zealand.

📋 Description

• In the role of a Remote Control Operator (RCO), your main duty will involve shunting trains and relocating wagons to and from customer sidings.

• Occasionally, you may also be called upon to perform duties as a Rail Operator.

• It is essential to remain alert and attentive to execute your responsibilities safely and punctually, adhering to rail operating protocols.

• When inspecting trains, you will verify that all train vehicles are in proper condition to begin their journey while complying with health, safety, and rail operation standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 to 4 years of experience as a Rail Operator or certification as a Remote Control Operator.

• A strong dedication to health and safety practices.

• The capability to remain calm and vigilant in high-traffic rail environments.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with a customer-oriented mindset.

• The confidence to mentor and guide team members when necessary.

• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills.

• A strong drive and determination to achieve results.

• A full, clean New Zealand Driver’s license.
