This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Oversee legal assistance for internal procurement and purchasing processes, encompassing intake, triage, routing, approvals, and collaboration with business stakeholders.
• Evaluate, modify, and negotiate standard and lower-risk commercial contracts, which include:
• - Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)
• - Vendor contracts
• - Purchase orders
• - Standardized customer and supplier templates
• - Additional basic commercial agreements
• Efficiently escalate non-standard, high-risk, or strategic matters to legal counsel with sound judgment.
• Develop, enhance, and sustain contracting processes that minimize turnaround time and foster consistency within the organization.
• Create and oversee automations for legal intake, approvals, document generation, signature workflows, and contract tracking.
• Manage the daily administration and enhancement of essential legal tools, such as DocuSign and other contract management systems.
• Collaborate with Legal, Procurement, Security, Finance, IT, and business teams to streamline the progression of requests from submission to signature.
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of templates, clause libraries, playbooks, approval matrices, and self-service resources.
• Monitor key operational metrics, identify bottlenecks, and propose process enhancements.
• Support the implementation and testing of AI-driven workflows to automate repetitive legal and contract management tasks.
• Contribute to the design of a scalable legal operations framework that accommodates growth without introducing unnecessary complications.
• Significant experience in contract management, legal operations, procurement operations, paralegal work, or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of commercial contracts and the capability to review standard agreements with sound judgment.
• Experience supporting procurement, purchasing, vendor intake, or contract approval processes.
• Familiarity with contract lifecycle tools, e-signature platforms, workflow automation tools, and systems administration.
• Proven experience managing tools such as DocuSign, CLM platforms, ticketing systems, or workflow orchestration tools.
• Strong operational discipline combined with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to handle a high volume of requests while keeping stakeholders informed and ensuring progress.
• A systems-oriented mindset, recognizing recurring tasks and actively seeking improved processes.
• Interest in AI, automation, and the practical use of technology in legal and contracting workflows.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with both legal and non-legal teams.
