This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Oversee legal assistance for internal procurement and purchasing processes, encompassing intake, triage, routing, approvals, and collaboration with business stakeholders.
• Analyze, revise, and negotiate standard and lower-risk commercial agreements, which include:
• - NDAs
• - Vendor contracts
• - Order forms
• - Standard templates for customers and suppliers
• - Other fundamental commercial contracts
• Efficiently escalate non-standard, high-risk, or strategic matters to legal counsel with sound judgment.
• Develop, enhance, and sustain contracting workflows that minimize turnaround time and enhance consistency across the organization.
• Create and manage automations for legal intake, approvals, document generation, signature workflows, and contract tracking.
• Handle the daily administration and optimization of essential legal tools, including DocuSign and other contract workflow systems.
• Collaborate with Legal, Procurement, Security, Finance, IT, and business teams to streamline the transition of requests from submission to signature.
• Assist in creating and maintaining templates, clause libraries, playbooks, approval matrices, and self-service resources.
• Monitor key operational metrics, pinpoint bottlenecks, and propose process enhancements.
• Support the implementation and testing of AI-driven workflows to automate repetitive legal and contract management tasks.
• Contribute to designing a scalable legal operations environment that fosters growth without introducing unnecessary friction.
• Significant experience in contracts management, legal operations, procurement operations, paralegal work, or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of commercial contracts and the capability to review standard agreements with sound judgment.
• Experience in supporting procurement, purchasing, vendor intake, or contract approval workflows.
• Familiarity with contract lifecycle tools, e-signature platforms, workflow automation tools, and systems administration.
• Experience in managing or assisting with tools such as DocuSign, CLM platforms, ticketing systems, or workflow orchestration tools.
• Strong operational discipline and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to handle a high volume of requests while keeping stakeholders informed and maintaining workflow.
• A systems-oriented mindset, with a propensity to identify recurring tasks and seek improved processes.
• Interest in AI, automation, and practical technological applications within legal and contracting workflows.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with both legal and non-legal teams.
