Contract Technical Audio Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take charge of in-game audio by utilizing Unreal Engine’s integrated audio stack.

• Create and sustain interactive audio systems, including adaptive music, environmental audio, and tension systems.

• Develop and enhance tools, templates, and workflows to boost audio iteration and efficiency.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate audio systems and address technical challenges.

• Adjust spatial audio, occlusion, and environmental effects to enhance immersive gameplay.

• Optimize audio performance, memory utilization, and scalability across various platforms.

• Diagnose and resolve audio issues during the development process.

• Assist in defining and documenting best practices for effective audio implementation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in technical sound design or audio implementation in gaming.

• Extensive experience with Unreal Engine’s native audio and Metasound Systems.

• Strong grasp of interactive audio systems and real-time implementation techniques.

• Proven experience collaborating with both creative and engineering teams.

• Excellent troubleshooting abilities and keen attention to detail.

• Capability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Background in mixing for atmospheric horror projects.
