This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Developing and sustaining a premier Global Contract Operations Program within the legal department.
• Utilizing industry best practices for contract lifecycle management, ensuring the implementation and adherence to appropriate controls and documentation. Collaborating closely with team members from the legal department, IT business partners, and business stakeholders to comprehend and refine requirements, objectives, and processes, driving strategic solutions while effectively working both independently and collaboratively to design and deliver tactical and project-related outcomes.
• Completing Ironclad CLM Administrator training for managing the Ironclad platform if not already completed, leading efforts in contract template rationalization and harmonization.
• Establishing and ensuring compliance with a template governance process, maintaining the inventory of law department approved templates, and managing the configuration of those templates, workflows (building and maintaining), clauses, reports, and notifications on the Ironclad CLM platform.
• Developing and retaining knowledge of crucial upstream and downstream systems and workflows.
• Designing for scalability with a holistic approach that emphasizes flexibility and maintainability. Participating in and assisting with the preparation of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) test scripts and revising based on user scenarios, logging UAT test results, and tracking issues until resolution.
• Overseeing the Ironclad CLM platform to guarantee that fully executed contracts are stored within the CLM system.
• Managing users and groups, along with their respective permissions and settings.
• Promoting the adoption and effective utilization of the Ironclad CLM platform, including the development of change management materials, presentations, and training sessions.
• Conducting regular audits to ensure the platform is utilized as intended and serves as a quality assurance measure to confirm the accuracy of the metadata.
• Managing projects aimed at scaling the capabilities and user base of the Ironclad platform.
• Collaborating closely with other departments and vendors to assist with integrations as needed, seeking opportunities to enhance process efficiencies and elevate the law department’s service delivery model.
• Supporting other legal operations initiatives and serving as a backup when team members are unavailable or require assistance.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; LLB from a recognized university in India is preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in a Corporate Law Department.
• At least 3 years of experience with CLM/legal technology solutions.
• Technical experience in any of the following roles: system administration/configuration, operations (general or legal), tech operations, solutions management within the legal ecosystem.
• A relentless curiosity to understand the root causes of technical issues and identify remediation strategies to prevent future occurrences.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to independently manage and prioritize workload and projects effectively.
• Strong team ethic with the capability to work cross-functionally.
• Solutions-focused and motivated to assist the team and stakeholders in overcoming obstacles.
• Proven ability to develop and nurture excellent client and colleague relationships.
• Willingness to accept increased responsibilities and meet the demands of the legal department professionally, whether working independently or as part of a team; proactive approach with the capacity to adapt to frequent changes.
• Experience in handling highly confidential matters is essential.
• Strong analytical, time-management, organizational, and project-management skills, along with a keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency in relevant computer systems, including Microsoft Word/Office and Excel; experience with the Google business suite (Gmail, Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets) is preferred.
