This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Lead the project discovery phase.
• Conduct interviews with stakeholders to gather insights.
• Transform research and client feedback into actionable design strategies.
• Evaluate both qualitative and quantitative data to develop meaningful recommendations that align user needs with business objectives.
• Perform UX, content, and design audits, clearly communicating your findings to internal teams and clients.
• Gather and synthesize actionable insights derived from user research and testing.
• Create information architecture and content strategy:
• Integrate information architecture, navigation, and sitemap strategies.
• Execute content audits and identify gaps.
• Establish tone, voice, and taxonomies to guide content creation.
• Demonstrate an understanding of how content strategy influences design.
• Generate visual design and strategy deliverables, including but not limited to:
• Wireframes.
• Page templates.
• Interactive prototypes.
• High-fidelity visual compositions.
• UI component libraries and either static or interactive responsive design systems.
• Sales and Marketing:
• Serve as a senior creative voice during sales discussions.
• Assist in identifying client objectives, risks, constraints, and opportunities during the pre-sales discovery phase.
• Add design and strategic insights to proposals, estimates, scopes, and project methodologies.
• Contribute to Kanopi's thought leadership by creating webinars, blog posts, case studies, conference concepts, or educational materials.
• Senior-level, hands-on UX/UI design experience for intricate, content-heavy websites, showcasing a robust portfolio that illustrates your process from discovery and strategy to high-fidelity visual design.
• Exceptional visual design skills, including layout, typography, hierarchy, brand application, responsive design, and accessible UI patterns.
• Advanced proficiency in Figma, covering prototyping, design systems, component workflows, and client-ready presentation documents.
• In-depth knowledge of UX strategy, content strategy, information architecture, and content experience principles.
• Proven experience in a creative agency setting.
• Excellent communication abilities, capable of tailoring your message for designers, developers, and clients, making complex concepts clear, practical, and actionable for each audience.
• A collaborative mindset for unraveling complex creative and strategic challenges, focusing on practical and thoughtful solutions.
• Nice to have:
• Coding experience.
• Familiarity with WordPress and/or Drupal.
