Contract Negotiation Manager – Behavioral Health

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Negotiate and implement comprehensive reviews and analyses, overseeing dispute resolution and settlement negotiations of contracts with individual and group Behavioral Health providers within a specified market.

• Oversee contract performance and assist in the development and execution of both strategic and traditional contracts, as well as value-based contract relationships.

• Recruit Behavioral Health providers as necessary to meet network expansion and adequacy goals across all lines of business (Medicare, commercial, etc.).

• Work collaboratively across departments to aid in the development of provider compensation and pricing strategies, submission of contractual data, and review and analysis of reports related to negotiation and reimbursement modeling efforts.

• Provide support for Behavioral Health network development, maintenance, and enhancement activities and strategies to assist in cross-market network management.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5 to 7 years of experience in the healthcare sector.

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, demonstrating proficient managed care network negotiation skills or experience in provider relations.

• Solid understanding of competitor strategies, complex contracting alternatives, financial arrangements, and regulatory requirements.

• Excellent and persuasive communication skills, particularly in written form, when engaging with external stakeholders.

• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and interpersonal abilities.

• Skilled in execution and delivery, including planning, implementation, and support.

• Possess strong business acumen with the capability to balance and articulate competing priorities while making informed decisions.

• Collaborative and effective team player.

• Availability to work in Pacific and Mountain time zones, preferably based in California.
