This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada, +1 more country.
• Act as the main point of contact for handling contract-related inquiries that do not necessitate legal counsel, offering prompt and accurate guidance on standard contract terms and procedures.
• Assist in the triage of legal requests and direct them to the appropriate counsel when necessary.
• Oversee and maintain legal document management systems, ensuring that all contracts, amendments, and related documents are systematically organized, tracked, and easily accessible.
• Track contract compliance and important dates, providing proactive reminders for renewals, expirations, and significant milestones.
• Manage the entire contract lifecycle from initiation to execution, which includes drafting standard agreements, overseeing approvals, and maintaining contract repositories.
• Create and implement efficient contract management processes and workflows that support business growth and minimize operational friction.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Product, and Finance, to ensure that contract terms are in alignment with business objectives and operational needs.
• Assist the legal team with contract administration, data entry, and the preparation of contractual documents.
• Develop and maintain contract templates, playbooks, and standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency.
• Analyze contract data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process enhancement.
• Support reporting on contracts.
• You have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in contract management, ideally within a fast-paced technology or AI environment.
• You possess strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the capability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously.
• You have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and can effectively collaborate with stakeholders at every level.
• You are comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment with shifting priorities.
• You have a practical, business-oriented perspective, capable of balancing legal requirements with business necessities.
• You are proficient in contract management software, specifically Ironclad, including setting up and managing workflows and templates.
• You are skilled in Microsoft Office Suite and Google productivity tools.
• You have experience with standard contract types such as NDAs, master service agreements, and procurement contracts.
• Familiarity with contracts within the AI industry and technology sector agreements will be considered advantageous.
• Experience in implementing or optimizing contract management processes will be viewed positively.
• You are proactive, solutions-oriented, and enjoy finding ways to enhance operational efficiency.
