This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +4 more states.
• Evaluate cases related to the effectiveness, safety, cost, and treatment alternatives of medications.
• Analyze scientific studies and assign letter grades based on medication effectiveness.
• Enhance effectiveness assessments by incorporating cost data.
• Offer evidence-based medication recommendations to assist individuals in selecting treatment options.
• Review available cases on a flexible and self-directed schedule.
• Provide responses to inquiries through the Ask a Pharmacist service within 24 hours.
• Complete cases for a fixed fee per case.
• Communicate with doctors or patients by phone as needed.
• Receive notifications when new cases are ready for review.
• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD), or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience in a clinical acute care or hospital environment, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
• Valid pharmacy license.
• Active and unrestricted pharmacist license in the state of practice.
• Current pharmacist license in good standing with no history of revocation.
• Must hold a license in Utah.
• Must hold a license in Arizona as per the location introduction.
• Successful completion of a pharmacy residency or an advanced degree in a health-related field is preferred.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Professional malpractice insurance and evidence of coverage.
• Sign the Pharmacist Independent Contractor Master Agreement (ICMA) and privacy agreement (Business Associate Agreement).
• Ability to work remotely within Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Utah, or Arizona.
• Wired internet connection that is not satellite or cellular, with a minimum upload speed of 5Mb and download speed of 10Mb.
• Personal mobile device necessary for Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
• Must comply with drug- and tobacco-free workplace policies.
• Flexible options for working from home.
• No mandated hours, established schedule, or minimum case review requirements.
• Compensation per completed case, with additional fees for requested phone consultations with doctors or patients.
• Flexibility in personal scheduling.
• Access to employee resource groups.
