
Contract Civil Litigation Attorney

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee a portfolio of civil litigation cases from initiation to conclusion
• Prepare, review, and submit pleadings, motions, and filings for federal courts
• Conduct legal research and formulate strategic approaches to cases
• Represent clients in hearings, mediations, and trials in both state and federal courts
• Manage all aspects of discovery, including depositions, interrogatories, and document production
• Ensure adherence to federal and state procedural regulations and court timelines
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing attorneys, and court officials
• Provide evaluations of cases and legal advice
• Work in conjunction with case managers and support personnel
• Keep precise and timely billing records to fulfill required billable hours
• At least 5 years of legal experience
• Active federal license, with a requirement for Southern District licensure
• Proven experience in civil litigation
• Familiarity with business law and real estate litigation
• Experience with trial proceedings
• Capability to achieve a minimum of 60 billable hours every two weeks (120+ hours monthly)
• Strong ability to independently manage cases and deadlines
• Must be available for court appearances as necessary
• Preferred experience in federal litigation matters
• Background in estate planning and/or tax law is advantageous
• Excellent written and verbal advocacy skills
